
Eve Garrard
Mezzo soprano
Norfolk born and raised, Eve currently works at a Croydon school as a Graduate Music Assistant and sings regularly with Croydon Minster choirs. She is a recent Genesis Sixteen alumnus, current member of Vox Urbane next Gen and alto scholar for the Thames Philharmonic Choir.
She graduated in Music from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2023 and held a scholarship with the Choir of Royal Holloway and latterly the Choir of St Bartholomew the Great, both directed by Rupert Gough. After graduating, she held an alto choral scholarship for two years at Norwich Cathedral.
Eve has featured on a large number of CD recordings and radio broadcasts. Her singing has taken her to notable venues across the UK, Europe and New York.
Choral highlights include Bach’s Mass in B Minor with the Festival Voices at Southwell Music Festival (Southwell Minster, dir. Marcus Farnsworth), Handel's Dixit Dominus with Genesis Sixteen (Dora Stouzker Hall, RWCMD dir. Harry Christophers CBE, Eamonn Dougan, Emma Warren) and Handel's Messiah with the Choir of Royal Holloway (Cadogan Hall dir. Nicholas Kraemer, English Chamber Orchestra).
Recent solo performances include solos from Haydn’s Nelson Mass, Handel’s Messiah, Bach Magnificat, John Rutter's Feel the Spirit and a recital of songs by Campion and Dowland accompanied by Matthew Wadsworth alongside poems read by actor Alex Jennings.
Eve is passionate about enabling access to music education for young people of every background, and enjoys supporting Gabrieli ROAR’s summer courses as a Pastoral Team member.
Outside of singing, she loves cooking and getting out in nature wherever possible!
Eve is thrilled to be joining the Esprimo Consort and very excited for future projects.
