
Morven McIntyre

Edinburgh born, Morven holds a Master of Arts with Distinction in Solo Voice Ensemble Singing from the University of York. During this degree she received tutelage from Robert Hollingworth of I Fagiolini, and is currently receiving singing lessons from Susan Young. Morven sings as a Choral Scholar at York Minster, under the direction of Robert Sharpe.
Morven is an alumnus of Genesis Sixteen, and has been a Young Singer with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra Chorus. She is also an alumnus of the National Youth Choir of Scotland (NYCoS). Highlights of her years with NYCoS include a European tour in which she performed as the mezzo soloist in the ‘Pie Jesu’ of Durufle’s Requiem, both in Paris and Mechelen. Morven also was selected as a soloist in Cycle 4 of John Tavener’s The Veil of the Temple performed at the Edinburgh International Festival (EIF) in August 2025 and a soloist in the alto quintet in Julia Wolfe’s Fire in my mouth, in its UK premiere as part of EIF 2024.
Morven has worked as the Music Director of Stockbridge Colonies Choir and held an arts administration role with Luminate, Scotland’s creative ageing organisation. One project she worked on with Luminate was the production of a new resource, I Am The Song by Boo Hewerdine, for the Dementia Inclusive Singing Network. Outside of music, she loves to read, bake and spend time outdoors exploring with friends.
